UOWedding What is UOWedding?
UOWedding is a program designed and written by Nicola Chiari, (former Lead Counselor Windwalker) to provide automatic speech capabilities for wedding ceremonies in Ultima Online. Although originally designed for weddings, it can be used for any kind of online speech in Ultima Online. It comes with several multilingual wedding scripts and some additional general purpose scripts, but it features a complete and powerful scripting language that allows you pronounce sentences, trigger Ultima Online macros, automatically introduce user variables, use party messages, freely jump to whatever location in your script, automatically take screenshots as the speech goes on. Going on in the script only requires to keep pressing the same key. UOWedding will automatically inform you when it's time to stop and wait for a reply from the couple. It also features an unattended speech mode to automatically pronounce the speech with a predefined delay between a sentence and the subsequent one.
Using UOWedding is straightforward. You can use any of the included scripts, or simply use an ordinary text file. Simply copy your file in the script directory and load it in the program. UOWedding will pronounce your text file in Ultima Online, one row at a time. At a later time, you may wish to try to write your own scripts, and use the more advanced features the program provides.
UOWedding has been used for over two years by most Counselors of Ultima Online to perform wedding ceremonies on the shards. With the end of the Counselor Program, and with the expected growth of strongly committed communities of wedding ministers, I decided to turn the program into a full featured speech tool for players. I hope you will enjoy using it as much as we did during the last two years.

3rd party program policy
UOWedding is not UOPro, but it�s been authorized and used for two years by all Counselors of Ultima Online. The program does not interfer with the data stream in any way and does not retrieve any kind of information from the Ultima Online client. However, the program is provided "as is" and you are using it at your own risk. No implied warranty is given that the program would fit any specific purpose, and you agree not to hold the author responsible for any loss or damage resulting from its use. Although UOWedding is not UOPro, it was designed to meets the spirit of what the UOPro program was designed to do. It�s not designed to give you any kind of advantage other than saving your valuable UO macros and freeing you from typing complex sentences in Ultima Online.
License agreement
UOWedding is freeware and distributed to the public domain. It can be freely distributed, provided that it�s done in its original unmodified form. If you wish to distribute UOWedding on a different web site, you are free to do so, but I request you to let me know the url of your download page. Also, please distribute the original unmodified zip file and add a link to this page on your site. If you do so, please make sure to regularly check this page and update the version on your web site with the latest available release.
Under no circumstances are you allowed to charge money for UOWedding.

Editor's note: It has come to our attention that Nicola Chiari died in 2005, probably in his sleep. He will always be remembered for his neverending dedication to the players and volunteers of Ultima Online.
Downloading UOWedding
Full installation (version 3.1.0)
Please make sure to read the readme.wri file included in the setup archive prior to installing UOWedding. You will need a separate program such as WinZip to extract the setup program from the archive you will download.

Additional script libraries
The following script libraries are not part of the standard UOWedding setup package. They are provided, however, as a convenience for all people who may need to perform special ceremonies. Simply unpack the archive file in a subdirectory of the Wedscripts folders in order to use them. Credits and a big thank you for these scripts go to Senior Counselor Cupid and Counselor Brethil.
Note: the opportunity of directly including these special scripts in the standard UOWedding package has been debated in the past, and I came to the conclusion of making them available as a separate download package. Please understand that no moral judgment, religious statement, or discrimination is implied in this. Requests for homosexual weddings simply came during the life of the Counselor Program, and everyone has always been free to personally decide how to handle this kind of requests. These scripts are available if you wish to use them.
