MMA is definately a sport along with boxing. Crazy as training/discipline involved. Much respect to fighters
My personal favorite Baseball.

mma is combat sport but you cant get it in one line with boxing, karate, kung fu etc.
following varden nars train of thought my favorite would be WBA, WBC and IBF

Yes, mma is a sport, ufc is an organization.
