Re: Really?
Some Roman Colosseums were made water tight, with a connection to the aquaduct. this was used to fill the Colosseum with water, and ships would be brought in to simulate pirate battles.
The Romans knew how to make concrete, but the recipe was lost with the fall of the roman empire, it took about 1,600 years for it to be rediscovered in 1824.

Cats think that we're big stupid cats.

So whenever your cat runs into the bathroom and stares into the toilet when you flush it, they're not just being curious. They're marveling at how dumb you are for soiling a perfectly good self-refilling water bowl instead of using a sandbox like a normal cat.

In 2009, Brian and Stewie made a joke about “Bruce Jenner’s vagina.” This was six years before Caitlyn’s actual gender reassignment.

Shawshank
The $370,000 Andy stole from the Warden in 1966 may not seem like a huge amount for 20 years of incarceration
But adjusted for inflation to today, Andy stole the equivalent of $2,700,000. A pretty solid payday for a convicted murderer.
Although it is never directly stated in the film, Brooks is in prison for allegedly murdering his wife and daughter after a losing streak at poker.
The mug shots of a young-looking Morgan Freeman that are attached to his parole papers are actually pictures of Morgan’s youngest son, Alfonso Freeman. Alfonso also had a cameo in the movie as a con shouting, “Fresh fish! Fresh fish today! We’re reeling ’em in!”. A year after The Shawshank Redemption (1994), he appeared as a Fingerprint Technician in another Morgan Freeman movie, Se7en (1995).
Jeff Bridges, Tom Hanks, Kevin Costner, Tom Cruise, Nicolas Cage, Johnny Depp and Charlie Sheen were all considered for the part of Andy Dufresne. Hanks turned it down because he was committed to Forrest Gump (1994). Costner liked the script a lot but was then embroiled in the filming of Waterworld (1995).
