this is a good one actually.

Renaissance painters, were not painters.

they were actually engineers, generals, architects, and general wise people who would be put in charge of anything and everything that needed doing.

they painted in their spare time.

They totally found Atlantis. It's an island off Greece called Santorini.

It was the main city of the Minoan Empire, which while not very big, you actually know about already, because of King Minus, and the Minotaur.

they build it on a nice round bit of land... shame it turned out to be a super volcano.

Ancient people did not really have morality.

Homer's Iliad was the first work of morality, and it all revolves around the scene in Troy, where the king sneaks into Achilles tent and asks for Hector's body back. It blew ancient people's minds that Achilles didn't just stab him.

you could argue it's the precursor to the new testament.

Tommy Gunn from Rocky V is a real boxer, Tommy Morrison was an upcoming star with an amateur record of 222-20.

By the end of his career, his combined professional and amateur record was 343–24–1, with 315 wins by knockout.

it was then discovered he'd had HIV the whole time, and he was immediately banned from the sport.

There were no deaths in boxing until the invention of the boxing glove.

- Because people did not punch to the head, as you would often damage your hand.
