During this/Demise era of UO
You lost points in the following virtues once a week
Sacrifice
Compassion
Justice
If you became a Knight in those virtues on say a Sunday ............168 hours later you would lose points and no longer be a Knight

Demise (in my case not sure of other players)
If I become a Knight in those virtues on say a Sunday .............the following Friday I lose points and I am no longer a Knight
I think that is a little short of 168 hours

But when or if the server crashes the timer stops for the virtues but keeps on ticking for the bonding time for a pet

July 15th to July 20th is not 168 hours (1 week) unless we went metric or something

In less than 3 hours

The time between losses is a full 7 days; you will never lose virtues twice in a 7-day period. This time is checked when you log in, when the world saves and when the world starts. (So it's likely a little over 7 days between losses in practice.)

The problem in the most recent post is that your last loss was 165 hours ago when you become a knight. Then, 3 hours later, the loss occurs because it has been a full week since your last loss, and you are no longer knight.

If, on OSI, you would remain a knight for a full week, does their timer then reset every time you gain a path or points at all? This would mean their timer is not actually weekly.

The virtues have changed on OSI and no longer work the same as they do on Demise
Now on OSI I believe that as long as you have virtue points in say Sacrifice you can self resurrect. So at Knight you can do a lot more than 3 self resurrections for that week (and beyond)

I think on OSI any time you resurrect a player (or even a pet unless they got rid of that) you lose Compassion points


On Demise we never lose Honor points unless we use the virtue but I believe it decays whether you use it or not on OSI

Other Virtue System tweaks: The total virtue point cap has been increased so that it is easier to maintain Knight rank. All virtues now decay at the same rate as the current rate for Valor. (This is a significant decrease in decay rate for most virtues.) Skills that had their decay rate reduced now spend virtue when you use them.

Yes you can

But unlike Demise becoming Knight of Honor is much harder on OSI when you use a pet

When you have that last dot to fill to become Knight on Demise it takes about 5 to 7 succubus kills from your pet

On OSI it is about 8 times that using a pet

Honor is messed up on Demise
If I go to where you are and say you are killing Daemons
I can honor them and let you kill them and I get Honor points

I can open up your Virtue gump and use your icons not that that is a big deal but it does show how messed up things are
We are at the same place with the Daemons
I have your paper doll open
I open your Virtue gump
Double click your Sacrifice icon
Click on the Daemon and sacrifice my fame

Relearning to play a tamer on OSI has been a bit of a challenge
I died twice yesterday (we really should look into the way you auto dress when you self rez on OSI) so I was out of self rez's
I went and died again this morning

You can self rez more than 3 times a week as long as you have points to use
I show I am at Seeker

Follower now and I can still self rez

The only virtue I have used is Sacrifice
When IP let me use his account the 4 Virtues were all Knight

Valor decays over time and use

Honor decays over time and use

Compassion decays with use
