We discussed this on discord, how about reducing casting in fel zones only to a truer "osi" casting. And leaving trammel zones alone?
HERE STARTS OLD SUGGESTIONS:
This isn't a bug report.
This is a thread to start a discussion about way to address teleport scripts.
Issue:
You can teleport faster than a player can run.
Sub Issues:
1) You can bola someone with teleport and run faster than can run on mount
2) You can teleport on foot to get away from people on mounts
3) You can teleport and toggle special moves (or Magic Arrow) faster than someone can run, allowing for damage on the run
4) You can also do similar things with shadow jump
OSI/UO:
You cannot do any of these things on OSI.
Why Does it work on demise?
Fast Cast Recovery acts like 20 instead of 6.
Quick Fix:
Change recovery, obviously this isn't an option, so lets not go there.
Possible fixes:
1) Reduce teleport range to 8/9
2) Put a 2 second delay on specials after teleport (This is what other servers have done)
3) Reduce recovery on the teleport spell (i don't know if this would be hard to code)
4) Put a cooldown on teleport (wouldnt have to be long, just enough to prevent the instant recovery)
5) ??
Truthfully, I dont know. I know this will be met with a lot of egos etc, but would be nice to have a legit discussion about it similar to the wildfire. PVMers/PVPers input would be good bc it affects multiple things.
