Just because you can't play a certain template doesn't mean it's "janky" rules. Maybe you should consider venturing outside your field character and build something meant for duels so you can play when the moment presents itself.

Thanks for proving my point though, that I have to change from what works in real pvp to what only works in a box. Youre really encapsulating the essence of pvp on the server.

You really think a a dexer or archer with no pots stands a chance against a max dci mage who can just poison out all his bandages and disarm/mortal him? or a necro mage getting mortal spammed?

Sorry I dont sit around designing templates for "standard" tournaments. Those are the fucking default runuo rules that are used on pre-aos servers and only standard if you have never played real UO. You might as well remove faster casting and specials, because this ruleset is not meant for post-aos pvp.

Why allow mortal and not para blow? explain this to me and ill have an open mind about your reasoning. I am not afraid to admit when I am wrong and loving having these types of discussions, but you want to rule out 90% of real pvp templates and call this a "pvp tournament". Just makes no sense to me.

If by decent portion you mean 5-10%.

The rules shouldnt cater to anyone... why remove potions LOL? something that EVERYONE uses...what kind of UO pvp involves people not using potions except 5xing which doesnt exist here

I was their on a stealther and what I noticed the most is a couple of people broke the posted rules and I never seen anything said about it. Ajani summoned a wisp which I assume breaks the no summons rule, another mage was using a dp weapon during his duel so it looked like the rules was not even enforced.

The bigger issue was the lack of planning, the guy running the event had no clue who was even in the tourny and clearly wasnt writing down who won what fight cause a bunch of people had to tell him they didnt lose a fight when he tried to declare a winner early. I think its great he wanted to put together an event but a lil more planning would help it not look like such a mess.

Even 7x pots were not allowed, so let me get this straight, you would want potions allowed with a steam heal button? Are you nuts lol, yeah people already heal as fast as they can with a shitty loop, let's add pots on top of that. LOL

well str and dex pots should be allowed in pits in my opinion, just like refresh are allowed. Its one of the main reasons dexxers cant compete with mages.
