Just collectible rares that tie into the lore and history of UO and Ultima games in general.
To summarize it , back in 1998/99 there were talks of a new skill called Necromancy. Necromancy you use noways wasn't introduced until the Age of Shadows expansion came out in 2003. The Necromancy model for 1998 utilized regents just as now but they were different and were referred to as Pagan regents.
The few that made it out into the game on OSI became rare once the original model for Necromancy was scrapped and the regents no longer spawned.
A few were used later in the game for Age of Shadows necromancy and some were used as completely different items ( Dear Wood , Fertile Dirt ... )
Here's the list of all the Pagan Regents. It's just fun to collect them. Expecially if your into the lore and history of this game.
Not sure exactly how many of these were introduced into Demise but on OSI these are VERY collectible as the history of these items pertains specifically to those servers.
