We are discussing options for the trinket but we aren't robots we do need sleep and do have to attend to things outside of demise occasionally. Last year it wasn't pvp area exclusive, this year it started in a PvM area and PvPers are raging about how entitled PvMers are for wanting the same item PvPers have had for year now.

take raptor-'s advice and stop gettin mad at video games please, or at least take my advice and move the discussion to its own topic this will be the last time I say that this isn't the thread for it.

I do appreciate staff that doesn't get paid ,still putting in some time. I would like to say that even though this is free to play the community has probably donated in the upward hundreds of thousands over the years so its hard to hear players say stuff about its free guys quit complaining. I agree with some peoples complaints, and for sure disagree with how they've went about their bitching. If you want an item to drop in the pvp area dont piss off the people that can put it there. I have many suggestions on how to make things better, but I save my rage warnings and bans for the day I will really need them. PS: Put the garb in the pvp area

This is a bug fix that we needed a long time ago.

Staff should take the backup saves of Demise and open it elsewhere without telling Ryan and just open their own donation store.

I'm serious. I would follow Eos and the other people responsible for coding over Ryan McAddamsapple.

QFT. I'm kind of monitoring the trade forums ATM. Trade prices seem confused. People are still demanding 4 weeks ago prices but people are legitimately trying to buy it for 40-50 mil. It seems like 2-3 are popping up a day on the forums and probably more spawning in game that people aren't putting up for sale. At this rate, I'll be surprised if it gets that much at the end of H-town because the 3 people that are willing to fork over a fortune for the trinket will have it already. Sell yours now if you have it and re-buy it again in a week for 25% the price

Thanks for everything guys :)

I am a bit disappointed that it seems that at this time, no trinkets or garbs are dropping from the PVP area HIGH Priest....but who knows maybe its just rare or won't be added until later? I wish there was more intensive to be down there and farm those bosses.

GG.

Thank you staff :D

you are monitoring the ragers now?! There is only so much stuff I can watch on netflix, I need some other form of entertainment. Cant you just make a complaint section on the forums where people can just get their own self-therapy by complaining?

Also, thanks for everything :D

Larson wrote:There needs to be a change in some people’s behavior here. So we will be tidying up anything we find offensive, disrespectful and generally not constructive towards maintaining a healthy community. We provide these forums free of charge and free of advertising for you to use and we do not need to see this type of behavior anymore. The staff here also provide a lot of their free time trying to make Demise a fun place to play and do not need to be constantly criticized. There have already been some timeouts for a few of our forum members and there may be more to follow.

This does not mean we don’t listen and aren’t aware of some of the current issues. I will try and address some of the issues people seem to have right now with Demise.
  • We have been looking into what we can do about the disconnects. The server has been moved twice now and since then other efforts have been made to fix it and we will continue to do so until it is fixed. If you have any useful information for us then please provide it, but bitching and whining won’t helps us get it fixed.
  • Unattended gathering does happen but not at the lengths that some people will have you believe. Checks are made at least once daily and repeat offenders are given increasing bans and have all resources removed. Just because someone is running a script does not mean they are unattended and just because they don’t want to talk to you does not mean they are unattended.
  • Halloween Town has been a long time in the making and is a very labour intensive thing to do every year. We do not have to drop any items on any mobile. It is supposed to be something fun and interesting for you to enjoy, if you don’t like it don’t go there.

The fact that you are only "looking into the disconnects" speaks volumes. Lots of people can't even participate in the event due to server issues. This has been going on for 2 months now. I get that you guys are volunteering your time and are busy, and that's swell. I have offered to help fund the new server, as well as help find more reliable staff members or seers. I have sent several tracerts from various people. I'm just really concerned at why thing doesn't seem like a bigger priority? There just doesn't seem like there could be any reason why it has taken 2 months to fix.

Many of us have waited all year for this event, even formed alliances and planned everything around the trinket or garb drops. When the server issues first started, we would joke about how funny it would be if you guys didn't get it fixed before. Now that joke has become a reality, and a disappointing one. I can't even get my vendor that I won in the raffle because I can't stay connected.

Then, the ones that can play spent hours and hours fighting over and defending the pvp area just to find out you can afk farm the trinket drop on pve characters which is the best pvp item in the game.

So yeah, excuse us if people are getting a little salty. If you actually would be willing to accept our help, keep us updated better with things like the lag issues/disconnects, you may not receive so much bitching. Imo though a lot of it is warranted just not the manner they were being expressed.

Look at the Priest, the doom alternative for pvpers, the abandoned star, a real competition replaced by some no-name boss. And mr Gingerbread man, soon they will take him too, our first event tradition and hero. Why giving pink harrowers to trammies is okay but sharing a fraction of wealth to players who have fun killing each other is wrong? Dear player, do you remember your recent powerscroll or artifact hardly gained by doing Felucca activitiy?

Because Calvin is in far far trammel right now, gathering ten trinkets and ten of those artifacts per hour on afk, cavorting with every little trammie that has ever done you wrong. Laughing at the facts and using the most useless template. Once upon a time someone decided that we were the losers. There are two sides to every story and our side has not been told! So who will join me? Who wants to come out on top for once? Who wants to live happily ever after...

The original server move was insisted upon us and we had no choice, that's when we started getting reports of disconnects. We eventually managed to get a move back to the same region we were in before in a hope that the problems would stop, but they didn't. We are on slightly different hardware with the same provider in the same region but the problem persists. Over recent weeks we have made changes at each server wars hoping to try and resolve this but with no luck. We will continue to try and sort this problem out but we have no choice over the hardware we use or where it is. None of this is an issue to do with lack of funds or unreliable staff. When we have "concrete" news we do and will let you all know.

I love how people get so excited for Halloween each year and understand that the disconnects are frustrating(we get them too which makes our job harder and longer than it needs to be). But what I don't understand why people made the assumption that the trinket would even drop again this year let alone in the same place. We always try and keep things interesting by switching it up each time and even before the event started there were plans to change things during the event too. Currently the fel area is dropping a new and unique item. I know it might not currently be as valuable as the trinket but we were hoping it might encourage some people who don't usually pvp to go and give it a try. We do put plenty of thought and planning into our events but we also know we can't please all of the people all of the time.

Crying over trinkets? Huh?

Thanks for the update! Also, I meant add more reliable staff, not that current staff are unreliable.
