Oldschool player returning to UO

Hello there!
I'm a new player here in Demise, although I played ultima online in OSI around 2002...
I've seen that the game has changed...(a lot!) so, I would appreciate any help/advice to getting started.
For the moment I'm training swordsmanship, tactics, parrying, healing...in old haven. Last time I played a swordsman, but I would like to try a mage (or necro, or some "new" skills...)
Where could I find low reagent armor? Any good spots to train combat skills? And... why is Britain so empty?
Thanks!

The good thing about Britain empty is you dont gotta fight for mobs but you can find some people usually doing spawns, peerless dungeons, doom, blood dungeon, and solen hive. you can also sometimes find people around mobs that can be used for tamers; usually, always someone at cu sidhe.

I like to hit up orc dungeon on my new chars lil South east of yew save some drunk dude. good thing is though it gives you free band aids and arrows. Best way to raise skills is find the fastest weapon in the weapon skill type and max hci. i think rightous anger would be good for you i also got some 999 gold piece weapons i think with some leech mods as human you can get into wraith form with joat. so maybe try leech weapon with life and stam or mana stam an cast curse weapon.. or maybe a soul seeker. Generally, dexers are more adv characters & gear dependent, so id suggest adding archery to your template for ranged dps when you run into mobs that you cannot tank or joust effectively.

for a mage you can do this and as your gear gets better you can drop med and focus for defense skills like wrestle & resist or eval and just wither.

focus
med
spellweaving
necromancy
spirit speak
magery
eval

Thanks pimpinez, I will try some of these skills, and visit the orc dungeon following your advice!
Know any cheap vendors with fast bows or crossbows?

Taming sounds great but isn't it very difficult to train?
Where could I start taming? Never had a tamer before...

Hi people of Demise shard!

I was playing uo long time ago. And I start again since long time, unplugged from uo universe.
And a lot of things have change. :?

I was trying to create a ninja fencer to hit from the shdows xD. Anybody can give me any tips or clues?
I've been playing a few days, anybody can bring me some directions? Thanxs beforehand.

Long life to this Shard!

My avatar name is Jubei Kibagami by the way. Thxs :D

it will take awhile to do taming more so if you dont do it afk. i usually go to ice island real name is like dagger isle or something. tame polar bear and walrus then panther and wolfs. after that with find some + taming jewels and go to delucia bulls or stay on the isle for awhile then go to kirin with jewels then cu sidhe. also you cannot tame cu sidhe with human you need elf & kirin is male only! Additionally, you should be able to tame bake kitsune around 81 with jewels that is a great first pet to go hunting with so at 51 taming and 2 +15 jewel you can tame kitsunes. if you choose to find a perfect one it will help with skill gains but definitely bond it before training it.

your gonna have a easier time finding mace or archer weapons. less people run the blacksmith bods which means less hammers but you can find cheap saws and fletcher kits sometimes even people throw them away or on ground. my tip would be drop fencing for archery or add it to your fencer. it is very easy to add weapon switch hot keys.
