Leaving it as it is makes it easier to scam

On OSI if you used a name change token you would have to be given access to all houses that had given access to the other name. Your old name is still on the house sign
Once given access your old name would still be on the house sign along with your new name

On Demise your name on a house sign changes and you keep your access

Back in my evil days, when I scammed a castle on OSI, I used a disguise kit before trading the Castle to myself so that there would just be a random name there.

The guy never figured out it was me!
