thing is, you see how many times the guy almost dies, and he's good at the game; if she dies, the whole town is pointless.
i've literally been on a game where we've made a full town, but our girls got adventurous and died, then it was 4 guys sitting in the town going "what now?" "i guess we just wait to die?"
literally loads of tools, weapons, shelter, food; but no ability to make new players.
then the whole town becomes abandoned and deserted for someone to find randomly while wandering around.

and all it woulda taken for the town to survive and become a city - was one of the girls to stay safe.
that's why you have gender roles.

it's on that internet archive site but it has a copy protection where you need the CD (or at least to mount it in dosbox).
there's a version on steam tho for like £3 that's pre-set up. nice lil single player strategy game.

(legitamately i've been looking for a copy of this vhs for a long time.. cos i remember it from when i was a kid.. but seriously... is this actually a lets play??... cos seriously that makes sense, it was very entertaining - and as someone that has never understood the appeal of a lets play... wow.. okay...)

the remaster is terrible btw.. and the mouse doesn't even work.. but it's packaged with the original game with some content added, so playing that instead

everyone is kinda terrible at their jobs these days imho.. it's like they assumed they could teach anyone to do anything.. and now all the jobs are done by people that know *how* to do things.. but seem to miss the point of why they are doing the things.
