UOG: Demise

As I recently picked the game back up again, and have had a lot of learning to do, I've spent a bit more time gaming than I usually do these days. My girlfriend, obviously, noticed this, and asked me "Why do you play that game? It's so old. Don't you want to try something new that... well... at least LOOKS nice?"

Me, being completely blinded by the brilliance that is Ultima Online, responded by poisoning her breakfast this morning.

I'm a sucker for nostalgia, and I had been playing this game for well over 10-12 years now, so it was easy to kinda jump back into, without really caring too much about any of the newer games out there.

So... why do YOU play Ultima Online?

My wife says the exact same thing. Cannot tell you why I keep coming back to play this game though.

Template versatility + the best real time pvp in gaming.

Nostalgia mostly, I enjoy the social aspect of uo pvp so im always trying to relive that time period during AOS and SE on Atl. Being in LNR felt like having another family online and iv played alot of other games and guilds, while many of them have been great but nothing compares to the that time period of AOS-SE with LNR. Yet I keep playing, I guess hoping that the game will feel the same but I know it never will.

PS. KvG has been great guild with alot of good people and if I didnt enjoy playing with them as much as I do than id left this game a long time ago.

I play Ultima Online to make money to move my family out of my country and a more enlightened part of the world.
