login attempt 'not Responding"

every time i launch this game, it freezes on login attempt. not sure why its doing this but i uninstalled everything and reinstalled and still is not responding... i haven't changed anything all year and when i tried it started this on its own.. i havnt played in forever so im trying to log in. i dont know what to do!! any suggestions would be appreciated. i am running this under administrator and run comparability under windows 8. ( running windows 8)
