does this combination allow use of specials with magery? do you need weapon skill and tactics?

it does with wep skill and tactics. it was better on osi when you didnt need tactics to use specials and thus could get away with 70 to 90 less skill points. also better on osi where you can use trap boxes so you could play 0 resist alot easier. (bugged trap boxes did 6-12 damage and never ran out of charges)

no, mage weapon allows the user to have passive weapon skill depending on the weapon type, and the number of the skill depends on the user's magery skill.

Playing with zero resist was for noobs in zerg guilds, in osi, always thought it was such a joke in uo to play with zero resist. That was a fun time for a lot of different mage templates...
