As anyone who has been around and interested in getting people connected to the server would know, UO hasn't been very friendly towards mac and linux users. There now is a program that smooths out the process: https://crossuo.com
Would love to hear staff input as I know they have to do some testing before putting programs on the allowable list. Looking forward to more Mac and Linux users.

Why can’t this become a client the way Steam became a client? The Silvertiger wrote: https://crossuo.com

If you can find Ryan, I'm sure he'd be glad to assist you.Bama wrote:Why can’t this become a client the way Steam became a client? The Silvertiger wrote: https://crossuo.com

Re: UO for Mac and Linux
I’m sure as long as it doesn’t have advantages over UOS and razor, it should be fine. Has anyone tried it yet to compare the gumps/options?
Re: UO for Mac and Linux
Crossover is a great program for playing UO on a mac. You can try the free trial subscription. It also allows the usage of UOSteam, unlike crossuo which has no support for an assist program at the moment.

*performing CPR on this post*
*pouring some greater heal potions on it for good measure*
*splash of water too*
Why hello and welcome back, how are you feeling?
I am running Linux MInt 20.2; I have Wine installed, downloaded the latest UOS, downloaded the latest UO client. I can login through UO Steam; but pretty quickly after login I get a warning error message:
"The server was unable to negotiate features with your assistant. You must download and run an updated version of Razor or UOSteam.
Make sure that you've checked the option Negotiate features with server, once you have this box checked you may login and play normally.
You will be disconnected in 5 seconds."
Well the box is checked; but I am still getting disconnected. Actually the "Remove encryption" checkbox is checked; I can't find the option for "Negotiate features with server"; but the warning message itself may be outdated. Are there any suggestions?
Respectfully,
kentares
