Looting Gems is a PITA
is there a way to set up a looting system to pick up gems quickly?
Re: Looting Gems is a PITA
I don't use this myself, but my nephew mentioned an option in Steam that makes a target cursor that loots what you click on. I think that would help quite a bit.

I think it's called "Gridded" loot option or something like that in Steam.
While it's not flawless, it's certainly less iritating than draging gems around.
It will basically open a new window where you can just click on the things you want to loot.
It's main flaw is when you want to look at the props for an item before looting, it won't always pop up and you may need to mess with it before seeing what is the item and know if you want to loot it.
But for little random objects, like gems, gold, and stuff it works very well.

I will find it when I get home tonight and will post a SS if someone else has not done so yet.Demon Fire wrote:The auto looter thing is locked or something... where is this option?

i find there is a delay when using the "grid" system. you need to wait ~ 1 sec between each click or else the item will be removed from the grid but never leave the corpse.

Re: Looting Gems is a PITA
Since UOS autoloot is disabled here, the only ways to do this is selecting the small gump next to jewels in the gridded loot system and/or EUO autolooting.
You'd think that at this point, with instanced looting and stuff, autoloot would be enabled, but...

I checked it out, its not the gridded loot, its a hotkey called "grab item"
Set the hotkey, press it, you will get a target cursor and anything you click will be sent to your bag. I've got it going now, very very nice. especially for those hard to get gems and rings.

Re: Looting Gems is a PITA
I know I am late, but I said I would put a SS of the grided system in loot.
That's what I used, and it satisfied me greatly. Try it out and see if it's for you. Although I did always set it up to Both, so that I can always double check the corpse if I felt like it.
